Website audit · Pocket Rocket Design

Not sure who controls your website?

Start with an audit. I look at your domain, hosting, email and site, and tell you in plain English what you have, who holds the keys and what to fix first.

Sound familiar?

It is more common than you would think.

Most owners find out what they have only when something goes wrong.

Who has the login?

Your web designer moved on, or the domain was bought by someone who has since left, and nobody can say who holds the keys.

It is slow, and it shows.

Customers on phones leave before the page loads, and Google ranks slow sites lower.

It does not match the business.

You have grown, won awards or changed, and the website still tells the old story.

Start free. Go further when it pays.

Guide prices to help you budget. The audit fee is credited in full against any update or rebuild that follows.

What the audit covers

Everything in one plain-English report.

What you have

The platform, the plugins, the hosting and the domain, who looks after each one, and who holds the logins.

What it costs you

Findings in a table, each with its impact: lost orders, hidden news, slow pages, confusing ordering, and anything hurting your Google ranking.

What to do next

A recommended approach, a proposed site map, what can be reused, and the questions to answer before anything is built.

How it works

Three steps.

  1. Tell me your site address

And who built it, if you know. That is enough to start.

  2. Get the quick look

A one-page list of what to fix first, with no obligation.

  3. Choose what happens next

Go ahead with the full audit, an update or a rebuild. The audit fee is credited in full, and nothing starts until you accept a written quote.

Your audit is written for your business only. It is never shared with other suppliers or other clients.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Is the quick look really free?

Yes. It is a one-page list of what to fix first, with no obligation. If you want the whole picture, the full audit starts from $500 + GST.

What happens to the audit fee if I go ahead?

It is credited in full against the update or rebuild that follows.

Do I need to give you my logins?

Not for the quick look. For the full audit and any rebuild, I ask for access to the domain settings, analytics and Search Console, so I can see where your visitors come from before anything changes.

Will changing my website hurt my Google ranking?

It can, if it is done carelessly. A move is planned and tested, with redirects and search settings carried across, so you keep the position you have earned.

Who owns the website afterwards?

You do. I set up the domain, hosting and every login in your name, so you always know what you have and who holds the keys.
